Washington's My Health My Data Act (effective March 31, 2024; June 30, 2024 for small businesses) covers consumer health data well beyond HIPAA - potentially including data from fitness, wellness or even location features that reveal health information. It has no revenue threshold, requires consent to collect and share such data, and violations can be pursued by individuals under the state consumer protection act.
