When custom beats per-seat SaaS
The crossover usually comes from three directions at once: seat count (a CRM priced per user per month gets expensive as the team grows), fit (how many hours a week your team spends working around the tool), and integration (how much re-typing happens between CRM, accounting and operations). If only one of those applies, stay on SaaS. If all three do, a custom CRM often pays for itself inside two to three years. See custom CRM vs. HubSpot and custom CRM vs. Salesforce.
